How to Deal with Rejection

How to handle rejection

The modelling industry is beautiful, fun and exciting, as well as challenging; and of course can be very brutal. But how exactly do models overcome rejection?

Our “Mindset” trainer teaches our students that “every no brings you closer to yes”. Absolutely! All the current famous models have been rejected on more than one occasion. They might be trending now, but it took them a while to become the in-demand muses.

We came across an interesting Vogue article that talks about 3 now popular Victoria’s Secret models being rejected by the intimidating Ed Razek, and how they have taken the initial ‘no’ (a few of them) on the chin and tried better next time, and again, and again, and again.

Everyone starts somewhere, develops their skills and knowledge, and constantly continues to evolve. So don’t take it personally when you get a ‘no’ from a casting or an interview, learn on how to make the next one better and a ‘yes’. Even Gigi got rejected by Ed, having modeled since she was a toddler and her supermodel mother as a mentor! So we hope you read this article and take some inspiration and determination from it to become a successful professional model!,35533
